2026 Peter Freeman Memorial Scholarship Application
The 2026 Scholarship will only be accepting applications via our online application portal. No emailed applications will be accepted.
Due to keen competition, the number of scholarship recipients will be limited each year. The selection process will be highly competitive and the Scholarship Committee intends to provide more impactful awards to only those best qualified.

Scholarship applications will be treated as privileged information. The Squadron maintains a policy of non-discrimination; therefore, the scholarship will be awarded without regard to Rank, Race, Color, Religion, Age, Sex, or Handicap.

Submission Process
All application materials must be submitted through our online application portal by the specified deadline. Ensure that each document is uploaded in PDF format only and clearly labeled with your name and the document type (sample file naming: Smith, John SAT_ACT .pdf).
Important Notes
– All documents must be official/unofficial records from the school or testing site. No screen shots or images.
– All information and documents requested must be submitted in full at the same time.
– Incomplete applications will not be considered.
– Double-check that all contact information is accurate and up to date.
– Ensure that your application is submitted before the deadline.
– The electronic submission process will not accept your application if you are missing any required fields. Please note the * below indicating required fields.
– The Scholarship Board will NOT chase down any incorrect/missing information. If your application arrives incorrect/incomplete it will not be considered.
Deadline
Applications must be submitted by (Noon) 12:00 PM on 24 July 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Missing or Incorrect Information
Please be advised that any missing or incorrect information or documents will result in your application not being considered. It is crucial to ensure that all required materials are provided and all instructions are followed. Double-check your application before submission to avoid any omissions that could disqualify you from the selection process. If you receive an email stating your application was incomplete, you will need to come back to this site and reapply. We appreciate your attention to detail and adherence to these instructions.

Criteria for Applications

E. Major or Skill to be studied
F. Sponsor’s Name, Relationship, Phone# and e-mail (Must be a prior or current Marine Aviation Logistician)
G. Provide a certified copy of grades and transcript from:
(All documents must be official/unofficial records from the school or testing site. No screen shots or images.)
1. Grades transcript including GPA from high school, college/university/trade school (required for everyone)
2. Confirmation of classes and credit hours enrolled in for the upcoming Fall semester from a selected college/ university or trade school (required for everyone)
3. SAT/ACT score results (current year high school graduate only)
4. Provide an essay of 150-200 words which includes: (required for everyone)
a. *Why you have chosen your selected profession
b. *What are your plans for the future
c. *Why you should receive this scholarship
d. *How has the Marine Corps impacted your life
